Back from the Past: Fifteen Twenty One 1521

Posted: December 20, 2011 in Food

My friend is going to be destined to New Zealand for almost a year so we decided to have dinner at 1521 for her despedida. It was my first time to eat here and let me share to you my experience.

Upon entering the restaurant, the staffs greeted us with a warm welcome. One waiter asked us “for how many person” and after responding, he escorted us towards our seats.

I loved their ambiance and the designs in their wall. The pictures depicted the Spanish Era when the house were made of bamboo and the outfits of the people were still conservative.

Now, let me show you a glimpse of their Menu. Their menu was interesting. The name of their dishes were so funny and creative that me and my friends can’t help but laugh at it when we recited each dishes out loud.

And here’s what we ordered.

Dinamitang Keso

Chicharon Bulaklak

Nilasing na Hipon

Kare Kareng Kinamulatan

Hari ng Lechon Kawali

Sinigang na Lechon Kawali

Gata Get This Chick

Dory to Heaven

Steamed Rice Family

Although the dishes were a bit pricey, however they were really delicious. We walked out the restaurant with stomach full and with a smiling face. I would recommend you to try eating here if you haven’t to enjoy the same experience I had.
