ABS-CBN Jazz Gala and This Means War

Posted: March 4, 2012 in Adventure, JC, Love

Last Feb 24 was the day 2 birthday celebration of my BF. We went to Resort’s World Manila to watch ABS CBN’s Jazz Gala where various world-class artists performed at the gala that night. The performers were Yaron Gottfried Trio, Dave Eggar and DeOro, Tateng Katindig, Abe Lagrimas Jr., Charmaine Clamor and Acoustic Alchemy. ABS CBN Jazz Gala was only a part of the annual Philippine International Jazz and Arts Festival (PI Jazzfest). PIJazzfest 2012 was twenty-one days of simultaneous “jazztivities”, from February 11 to 29, including campus workshops, mall tours, cultural events, special shows and concerts.

It was an amazing night. The gala night ended with a standing ovation and the audience even asked for “more”. Listening to their music helped me relax and forget all my worries about work. This was also our first time to watch this kind of performance. If there would be any similar performance like this in the future, we would definitely watch it.

After watching the jazz gala, we also watched “This Means War”.

“This Means War” suits to be the title of the movie. Two of the top CIA operatives (Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) are best friends and partners in their work – until they discover that they’ve fallen in love with the same woman (Reese Witherspoon). They battle against one another to win the woman’s heart. They use government surveillance equipment to spy on each other’s dates. The movie is full of laughter but who does Reese end up with? I will not spoil the ending, it is better if you watch the movie.
