Finally! The Phantom of the Opera in Manila!

Posted: July 4, 2012 in Announcement, Event, Show

The world’s most successful and popular musical, and the longest-running show on Broadway, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, comes to Manila for a strictly limited season in August 2012.

The Phantom of the Opera is a novel by French writer Gaston Leroux. There have been numerous literary and dramatic works based on The Phantom of the Opera, ranging from musicals to films to children’s books. And now the long wait is over. The Phantom of the Opera will now be here in Manila on August 2012. The show will run from August 25 to September 16, 2012, every Tuesday to Friday at 8PM and every Saturday & Sunday at 3PM & 8PM. They will perform at the CCP Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater).

See how the CCP will be transformed into Paris Opera House. “It takes two weeks to build the set into the theater. The crew works 16 hours a day, six days a week, and there isn’t a minute to be wasted. If something goes wrong, they have to work right through the night.”
