Travel Guide: How To Go To Bantayan Island from Cebu City

Bantayan Island is located at the west of the northern end of Cebu Island. The island can be reached via Ceres bus from Cebu City (leaves from the North Bus Terminal near SM City Shopping Mall) to Hagnaya Wharf in San Remigio, Cebu then take the ferry to Sta Fe Port.

How to Get There?

1. Go to the North Bus Terminal

2. Ride a bus going to Hagnaya Wharf. The fare for aircon buses cost Php 150 per head. Bus leaves the terminal every hour from 5:30AM to 7:30 PM.

Our bus left at 9:30 AM.

At around 11:00 AM, we arrived at Carmen where we had our first stop over for people who wanted to go to the comfort room or buy snacks.

After 1.5 hrs to Bantayan - Carmen

At noon, we are already at Tabagon.

After 2.5 hrs to Bantayan - Tabogon

At 12:30 PM, we had our second stop over near Bogo City.

2nd StopOver to Bantayan

By 1:00 PM, we were already at Hagnaya Wharf.

3. Buy ferry ticket at the booth. There are two ferry lines available: Super Shuttle Ferry and Island Shipping Corporation.

Pay terminal Fee that cost Php 10 per head at the desk before entering the terminal.
