On our way to Ho Chi Minh City, we stopped at Mekong Rest Stop. Our tour guide recommended that we have our lunch here.
Since the set-up of the restaurant is open, insects are flying freely around but they are manageable. We just “shoo” them away from time to time so that they won’t stay in our place.
Here’s what we ordered:
Food is good however considering the given price and serving size, I find it expensive.
Just a few steps away from the restaurant, the Mekong Mart Convenience Store is located.
Like any typical convenience store, they also sell the same “to-go” stuffs but, of course, with different brand names. They also sell some food that can be dined inside the convenience store, like dumplings.
Beautiful paintings are hanging on their walls. They also have a CCTV camera for security purposes.
You will pay the stuffs that you will buy on the other end, outside of the convenience store.
Across the convenience store is a souvenir shop. They sell variety of locally made products – like key chains, bags, shirts, etc..
