For the past few months, I wasn’t able to post an entry here in my blog due to being busy with work and personal stuffs.

Just to give my readers an update, last December 27, 2014, I got engaged to my best friend. It was a long day for us that day and I didn’t expect for it to happen. I won’t go much into details but for the summary, here it goes:

Around 8 in the morning that day, we dropped off my mom in QC and had our breakfast at a nearby fast food restaurant. After breakfast, we headed to SM MOA to watch an MMFF movie. We then visited his relatives in Cavite in the afternoon and stayed there for an hour. Around 4pm, we headed back to Manila. On the way to Manila, I got an intuition that something will happen that night but I don’t know how and I don’t know what time. By the time we reached Alabang, it was already late dinner time. We had our dinner at The Nest, 31st floor of Vivere Hotel & Resorts. After dinner, he proposed to me and i said YES! 🙂 No words can explain what I felt that night. I couldn’t wait to tell my family that we’re engaged but when I reached home, they were already sleeping. I immediately updated my status on Facebook and that’s where my family knew the news. 🙂

For the 2nd installment of my birthday celebration, I purchased a 3-course Dinner -Show at Quantum Cafe voucher from a group buying site again. So last June 7, me and my bf went to Quantum Cafe to watch the Silly People’s Improv Theater (SPIT) show.

The Sound of Music

When I was younger, I have already watched The Sound of Music the movie in betamax and not only that, I also did a musical play of it. I always loved the songs of The Sound of Music and I would even sing with the casts while watching. And my favorite song in the movie was My Favorite Things .

Tipid Mode Celebration

On the third day of my bf’s bday celebration, this day was a “tipid mode” day for us. Just a simple day to celebrate his birthday. He had a basketball game that day and I watched him play. They won that game and their standing is now 3-0. Yey! Hope that they make it to the finals.

Last Feb 24 was the day 2 birthday celebration of my BF. We went to Resort’s World Manila to watch ABS CBN’s Jazz Gala where various world-class artists performed at the gala that night. The performers were Yaron Gottfried Trio, Dave Eggar and DeOro, Tateng Katindig, Abe Lagrimas Jr., Charmaine Clamor and Acoustic Alchemy. ABS CBN Jazz Gala was only a part of the annual Philippine International Jazz and Arts Festival (PI Jazzfest). PIJazzfest 2012 was twenty-one days of simultaneous “jazztivities”, from February 11 to 29, including campus workshops, mall tours, cultural events, special shows and concerts.

Manila Ocean Park Adventure

I took 2 days off from work to celebrate my BF’s birthday. For Day 1, I bought a voucher “Manila Ocean Park Show – Walk the ocean floor and watch live water action via Manila Ocean Park’s Pre-Christmas Treat” from a group buying site last year. The voucher included Sea Lion Show, Oceanarium and Musical Fountain Show.

Since I was on graveyard shift, we arrived the park at 4pm already because I was sleeping the whole morning. We first claimed our tickets in the reservations office.

To avoid the crowds during valentines day, my bf and I celebrated our Valentines Day last Sunday. We started our morning by hearing mass. After hearing mass, we went to Xavier School at Greenhills because he has a basketball game and I watched him played. (Sorry for the LQ of the pictures.)

Manila Bay Cruise and Dinner

Posted: December 28, 2011 in Adventure, Food, JC, Travel

I saw Cruise, dine and unwind – 66% off Sun Cruises’ Manila Bay Cruise! deal at a group buying site. Normally, Sun Cruises offers this romantic dinner while sailing around Manila Bay for Php. 550.00. So when I saw this deal, I immediately bought 2 for only P188 each.

Sailing schedules are as follows:
1st sailing: 4:30pm to 5:45pm
2nd sailing: 6:15pm to 7:30pm
3rd sailing: 8:00pm to 9:15pm

I chose 8:00pm because when I booked for our reservation, the only timeslot that has available seat at the upper deck was at 8:00pm.

Docking area was located at the back of the Folk Arts Theater, near Gloria Maris. It was easy to find the venue since there were sign boards pointing to where you should be heading.

You should be there at least 30 minutes before chosen sailing time for registration. After registration, you will be given a boarding pass, food stub and a sticker if you would be seated in the upper deck.

While waiting for the yacht, I took pictures of the scenery first.

There were even fireworks seen from afar.

At exactly 8:00 pm, we were asked to onboard the ship. The crew got our boarding passes. We passed through a yacht before reaching the our final destination.

After passing through the 1st yacht, we next passed through the lower deck. The lower deck was air conditioned.

The restroom was also located at the lower deck. They have only one common restroom.

Finally, to the upper deck,

where we were seated.

Before the cruise started, the crew demonstrated to us where to find and how to use the life vest in case of emergency.

The vest was glowing in the dark.

Then the food was served. Drinks were not included in the deal, so you have to order separately and pay for it.

There were also chips being sold.

While cruising, we were serenaded by the singers on board. I wasn’t able to take picture of the guy.

After eating, I took pictures of the scenery. We even reached near SM MOA.

The cruising time was only for 1hour and 15 minutes. I can say that this was an amazing experience plus the food was also delicious. I recommend that you try this experience too.
