People Like Us (The Movie)

Posted: November 4, 2012 in Movie

The movie was shown in the Philippines last August but I wasn’t able to watch it in the movie house. So, I decided to download it via torrent and I watched it last night.

Starring Chris Pine as Sam, a great sales man, made a bad deal the same day he learned that his father died. Against his will, he returned home but wasn’t able to make it in time for his father’s burial. He then met with his father’s attorney and handed him his father’s shaving kit. Inside he found $150,000 and a note stating to give it a guy name Josh and to take care of them. Soon he found out that Josh (Michael Hall D’Addario) is his nephew and he had a sister she never knew, Elizabeth Banks as Frankie.

Sector 7 Korean Movie Review

Posted: April 22, 2012 in contest won, Movie

Yey! I won movie tickets to Sector 7 from Movie Punch. The movie is in Korean language but no worries, there are 3 different subtitles available but written in white color. There are time when the background below the screen is white, we can’t read the subtitle anymore.

•Action •Adventure •Science-Fiction •Suspense •A little Comedy

To avoid the crowds during valentines day, my bf and I celebrated our Valentines Day last Sunday. We started our morning by hearing mass. After hearing mass, we went to Xavier School at Greenhills because he has a basketball game and I watched him played. (Sorry for the LQ of the pictures.)

Rio (the Movie) Experience

Posted: April 25, 2011 in Movie

Finally, I was able to watched Rio (the movie) yesterday. I, together with JC, used the movie passes the he won from the Pininho contest. The Pininho contest prizes are 3 movie passes. We still have 1 extra movie pass that we don’t know what to do with it.

The movie passes were a bit odd because it’s just a piece of white paper that at first glance you would think that it’s fake. We tried to watch the movie at greenbelt 3 but the sales lady told us that they don’t accept those kind of movie passes and asked us to try Glorietta 4. At first, we thought that Greenbelt and Glorietta have the same management so if we try in Glorietta, they would also reject the movie passes. But we still try to go to Glorietta. There’s no harm in trying. As a back-up plan, we plan to watch another movie instead if the movie passes wouldn’t be accepted.

Luckily, when we bought the ticket, they accepted the movie passes. We just paid 0.50c for 2 movie passes instead of Php300. The movie is shown in 3-D.

It was a great movie. It is full of laughter and it is best to bring your kids with you to watch if you have one. The birds’ feathers are colorful that when the start dancing and singing, it is so beautiful to watch.

A baby Spix’s Macaw (blue colored bird), who is unable to fly, and several other birds from a jungle in Rio de Janeiro, are caught by smugglers and taken to Minnesota. The box containing the macaw falls to the street and is found by a girl named Linda, who names him “Blu”. She promised to take good care of him. Fifteen years later, Linda lives in a bookstore with Blu (Jesse Eisenberg). Blu is so trained with the life inside a cage but can free himself using his beak. Then, Túlio (Rodrigo Santoro), a scientist, tells Linda that Blu is the last of his species, and he needs to mate with a female to preserve the species which is in Rio de Janero. Túlio tells Linda that the 2 of them should fly to Brazil.

That’s the start of the story. I don’t want to spoil anymore so it’s better if you watch the movie.
