Potipot Island is located roughly about 1 km away from the mainland shore of Uacon, Candelaria, Zambales. If you are on tight budget, it is still best that you plan your trip on your own and avoid getting packages.

Potipot Island Zambales

How did we get there?

First, I asked Victory Liner if they have trips from Pasay (since I live near Victory Liner Pasay Terminal)  to Zambales. Some schedules are not listed on their website so it is better to ask them personally via call or twitter. And Yes! They are active in twitter and they responded to all my queries. 😀

Schedule from Pasay to Iba Zambales

After getting confirmation from them, on the day of our trip, we went to the terminal an hour earlier before the 1st trip leaves, to buy our ticket. To avoid queuing in long lines, you may reserve your tickets online in their website.

Ticket fare from Pasay to Iba Zambales costs Php357 per head.
Victory Liner Ticket Fare from Pasay to Iba Zambales

I’d like to share here our adventure in going to Subic via Public Transportation. We went to Victory Liner bus terminal at Pasay Edsa. There is a booth where you can pay your ticket ride. Just look for the window with the Olongapo sign.

And then, at the side you will see the schedule of the trip to Olongapo. We took the 8:00 AM trip.

Then we pay the fare, P245 and P5 for the insurance. In the ticket, you will see the seat number assigned to you.

Then along the way, they can pick up passengers. Those passengers who weren’t able to pay the fare at the terminal, will pay to the conductor but without the insurance. Then, we have our stop over at Mabalacat, Pampanga for 10 mins, then proceed to Olongapo. We drop off at Park N’ Shop Terminal were at lot of Taxi are waiting. The taxi fare here is a lot expensive than in Manila. They don’t have any flat down rate nor any meter, the have this fixed price depending on where you are heading. You can also have them picked up wherever you are in Olongapo just text them but you have to add P80 for pick up.

Here is the contact number of the taxi we rode in Subic.

We also contacted the same number to pick us up and drop us to the Victory Liner bus terminal going to Manila.

Here is the schedule trip to Manila from Olongapo.
